Brief introduction of the author
Liu Guozhong was born in Zhenghe County, Fujian Province in 1969. From 1987 to 1994, he studied in the History Department of Beijing Normal University, and successively obtained a bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree in history. In 1994, he was admitted to the Graduate School of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences and became the first batch of doctoral students jointly trained by the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences and Tsinghua University. The supervisors were Professor Li Xueqin and Professor Ge Zhaoguang. After graduating in 1997, he stayed at Tsinghua University to teach. He is currently an associate professor at the Department of History and the Center for Research and Preservation of Unearthed Documents of Tsinghua University. He is mainly engaged in the study and research of historical philology and specialized history. He is the author of “Studies on the Great Principles of the Five Elements” and “Ancient Silk Books”, and edited the “Reference Collection of Chinese Intellectual History” (Volumes from the Sui and Tang Dynasties to the Qing Dynasty), and has more than 50 papers.
