Wang Tingzhi, formerly known as Tan Xiyong, is a native of Nanhai, Guangdong. He is a Buddhist scholar and columnist in Hong Kong. . Wang Tingzhi’s pen name was taken from “Guwang Tingzhi”. Although he studied chemistry, he was born in a family of Eight Banners. He seldom studied piano, chess, calligraphy and painting, medicine, divination and astrology. He studied Ziping and Yili more. The master learned from Ziwei Doushu, got his true biography, and made it flourish in Hong Kong. On the one hand, he accepted 40 disciples and established the Ziwei Doushu Association to engage in academic research; Various problems and cheating errors. However, what he admired all his life was actually Buddhism, which he had been studying since he was a university student. At the age of 28, he had the opportunity to practice Tibetan Tantric Buddhism, and studied Tibetan Buddhism with Master Liu Rui and his master Dudjom Rinpoche. At the age of thirty-eight, he attained the throne of Ajali, and his dharma name is Fearless Vajra. Later, the Tantric Buddhist Association was established to translate the scriptures of the Nyingma School. He once lived in seclusion in Yidao for six years, and in conjunction with the study of scriptures, he compiled the “Introduction to Buddhist Scriptures” and “Nyingma School Series”, which were well received.
