Using these two concepts can summarize everything about heaven, earth, nature and human society, and it is also the basis of Zhouyi’s prediction. One, yin and yang “Yi Xici 1” said: “Yi has Tai Chi, which produces two instruments, two instruments produce four images, and four images produce eight trigrams.” These two instruments have the meaning of yin and yang. Earlier, yin and yang only appeared as the meaning of the sun facing the back, the one facing the sun is called yang, and the one facing away from the sun is called yin. Soon, it was extended to explain the cold and warm climate. Later, with the continuous improvement of people’s understanding, yin and yang were taken as a philosophical concept to widely explain the dynamic balance forces of nature and human society, which are opposite to each other, contradictory and unified. For example, sun and moon, day and night, light and shade, movement and stillness, internal and external, cold and heat, male and female, male and female, hardness and softness, slow speed, etc., can all be divided into two aspects of yin and yang, but these two aspects are harmonious and unified, opposite and complementary.
